Q: How can I install MagicQR™?
A: You should click into MagicQR™ Web page for free download. Fill out your E-mail address and download the password, which will be sent to your mailbox. If you receive your download passwords, you can click the icon “connect” in your E-mail to save it in your personal computer. Then it will be sent to your mobile terminal by means of data wire, infra-red, Bluetooth, etc. You can also input the download address offered in your E-mail into your mobile phone. Download directly on the Internet and install it on your mobile phone.
Q: Does MagicQR™ charge?
A: MagicQR™ is free as well as downloading it. But if you download it through your mobile phone, online expenses or data-rate fee is needed.
Q: Can MagicQR™ run on my mobile phone?
A: As long as your mobile phone support CLDC1.1/MIDP2.0 and has the camera with snapshot function, it can run.
Q: My mobile phone is not the intelligent one. Can MagicQR™ run on my mobile phone?
A: Certainly.
Q: My mobile phone is Nokia Symbian intelligent phone. Can MagicQR run on my mobile phone?
A: Certainly. As long as S602 or above.
Q: My mobile phone doesn’t have the camera shoot. Can MagicQR™ run on my mobile phone?
A: Yes. But the function of MagicQR™’s taking photos to decode is not accessible. You can only use MagicQR™ decoding function by graphic files or MMS.
Q: Can I use my mobile phone to directly download MagicQR™?
A: Certainly. As long as you input the connecting address into the Internet explorer of your mobile phone, you can download it directly to install it on your mobile phone.
Q: How big is MagicQR™?
A: MagicQR™’s complete version is about 150kb-180kb. According to particular conditions, you can download the simplified version, of which the smallest is only about 70k.
Q: Is there any limitation to MagicQR™?
A: MagicQR™ is a kind of free software and you can take photos to decode any QR Code. But so far QR versions that can be processed are limited to version 2 (included). It can’t do further process to result information of decoding, only to go on the Internet, save or send the result, etc.
Q: How can I obtain MagicQR™, the business version?
A: You can contact Fit Technologies’ market staff.
Q: Why can’t my mobile phone with camera shoot decode by taking photos?
A: It’s probably because your Java mobile phone doesn’t support or not completely JSR135, namely not supporting the snapshot function.
Q: Can MagicQR™ run on Linux mobile phone?
A: Certainly. MagicQR™ has already been tested on real equipment, such as Motorola, A1200, etc.
Q: My mobile phone is Palm OS. Does MagicQR™ support?
A: It’s hard to say. So far Fit Technologies officially hasn’t supported Palm OS, but now there are other software development business companies providing J2ME running environment on Palm OS. You can contact them or browse their official websites to make sure whether J2ME running environment meets the needs of MagicQR™.
Q: My mobile phone is Brew mobile phone. Does MagicQR™ support?
A: Now Fit Technologies officially doesn’t support Brew mobile phone. But if you have J2ME virtual machine JVM running in Brew environment offered by other software development business companies, MagicQR™ can be used.
Q: Does MagicQR™ support Windows mobile phone?
A: Yes. But JVM offered by other software development business companies needs to be installed.
Q: Can MagicQR run on different versions of Windows mobile phone?
A: Yes. On mobile phones with Windows mobile service, JVM can be freely downloaded to install J2ME running environment, such as IBM’s J9 or other software development business companies’ JVM. As long as it supports CLDC1.1/MIDP2.0, JSR135, Magic QR can be used.
